Description
The Texas A&M University System, on behalf of SSC Services for Education, is soliciting competitive sealed proposals for the complete demolition of Berry Hall, Smith Hall, and the Watson Cafeteria/Old Children's Museum at East Texas A&M University. The scope includes demolition of the structures, foundations, tunnels where applicable, interior fixtures, and HVAC systems; salvage of identified items and materials; and removal of resulting rubbish and debris. The work also includes removal and capping or securing of designated utilities, protection of existing parking lot lighting for reconnection by others, approved backfilling, general grading, topsoil application, and re-establishment of vegetative cover. The three buildings total approximately 164,752 square feet. Proposals are due by mail or hand delivery, and a public proposal opening will be held after the submission deadline. A pre-proposal meeting is scheduled, with attendance not explicitly stated as mandatory.
