Description
The Interurban Transit Partnership, doing business as The Rapid, is soliciting sealed bids from a qualified general contractor for entrance improvements at Rapid Central Station. The work includes interior and exterior vestibule renovations, demolition and replacement of aluminum storefront entrance systems, automatic sliding glass doors with insulated and tempered glazing, exterior concrete replacement, carpet tile, entrance floor mats, interior painting, electrical modifications, fire-alarm interfaces, communications pathways and cabling, and integrated access-control hardware and programming. The project also includes selective demolition, patching and restoration, security and access-control devices, structured cabling, testing, commissioning, and coordination with existing building systems. The bid must include the provided Bid Form, a bid bond of at least 5% of the bid amount, a signed addenda acknowledgment, and the required federal certifications, including FTA compliance, Build America Buy America compliance, DBE participation, debarment and suspension, lobbying restrictions, and Iran sanctions certification. The contract time stated in the Bid Form is nine months from the award date; performance and payment bonds of 100% of the contract amount are required after award.
