Algoma Township is soliciting unit-price proposals for a lake management program at approximately 150-acre Camp Lake. The core scope includes integrated aquatic plant and algae management using approved herbicides and algaecides; pre-treatment vegetation surveys; species-specific management for Eurasian watermilfoil, curly-leaf pondweed, and nuisance native floating-leaf vegetation; water quality sampling and laboratory diagnostics; E. coli and PFAS testing capabilities; aquatic vegetation assessment surveys; post-treatment logs; regulatory filings; and an end-of-season summary report with trend analysis and recommendations. The selected contractor must comply with Michigan EGLE permitting and reporting requirements, provide aquatic pesticide application licensing and certification, maintain at least $1,000,000 in general liability insurance, and submit references from comparably sized Michigan lakes. The expected initial term is a minimum of two years, with an option to renew for three additional years. Optional add-ons include annual fish stocking planning and reporting, with a stated budget of $5,000 per stocking occurrence, and annual sediment trap maintenance involving approximately 80–100 cubic yards of excavation and off-site disposal.
