Description
The Chicago Housing Authority is seeking qualified elevator inspection firms to inspect 158 elevators across four groups annually during a three-year base term. Services include providing labor, equipment, materials, transportation, scheduling, initial inspections, reinspections, barricades and out-of-service signage, and all related reporting. Inspections must comply with the City of Chicago AIC program, applicable Chicago Municipal Code requirements, and ASME A17.1 standards, with results entered into the Chicago Department of Buildings online reporting system. The selected contractor must use certified QEI inspectors within Illinois, manage quarterly inspection timelines, report compliance and deficiencies, perform authorized reinspections, and promptly notify the Authority of hazardous conditions. Responses must include a narrative response of no more than 10 pages, the completed quote form in PDF and Excel formats, at least three relevant references, and the other mandatory forms identified in the solicitation. Vendor registration is required before submission, and proposals must be submitted electronically by email.
