Description
The City of Lakewood is soliciting a contractor to construct complete electric vehicle supply infrastructure for owner-furnished Level 2 charging equipment at Carmody Recreation Center and Charles Whitlock Recreation Center. The scope includes demolition and site preparation, trenching, conduit and conductor installation, electrical service equipment, utility coordination, concrete, sidewalk, curb and gutter work, pavement restoration, parking striping, signage, protective bollards, erosion and sediment control, testing, commissioning support, and project closeout documentation. The City will procure the EV charging equipment separately, and the contractor must coordinate with the City's charging-equipment installer. The project is federally funded and subject to Davis-Bacon prevailing-wage requirements, certified payroll reporting, applicable federal provisions, contractor licensing, insurance, and active SAM.gov registration. The work must be completed within 90 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. A 5% bid bond is required with the bid; 100% performance and payment bonds are required after award.
