Description
The U.S. Geological Survey's Eastern Ecological Science Center at the S.O. Conte Research Laboratory requires removal and replacement of an existing walk-in freezer and cooler. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, disposal, site preparation, insulated panels, doors, refrigeration systems, electrical and mechanical modifications, controls, testing, commissioning, and code-compliant installation. The new units must meet or exceed the existing capacity and maintain specified temperatures of 35–41°F for the cooler and 0°F or below for the freezer. The contractor must complete the project within 10 working days under the statement of work, while the solicitation form states delivery within 30 days after receipt of the purchase order. Required deliverables include fully operational units, staff training, operation manuals, warranty documentation, and as-built documentation. The quotation must include the completed Standard Form 1449, an itemized price quote, and a technical capability response addressing compliance with the salient characteristics and the statement of work; the technical response is limited to three pages. The procurement is a total small-business set-aside, and the contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management before award.
