Description
Richmond Public Schools is soliciting a firm-fixed-price turnkey replacement of the walk-in cooler/freezer combination at Southampton Elementary School. The contractor must furnish and install a pre-engineered modular commercial food-service unit, based on a Harford/Kolpak standard or approved equivalent, with site verification, demolition and EPA-compliant refrigerant recovery, crane and rigging services, permits, electrical and plumbing connections, refrigeration piping, startup, testing, commissioning, cleanup, and staff training. The proposed system must meet specified dimensions of approximately 13 feet 6 inches wide by 7 feet 9 inches deep by 7 feet 6 1/4 inches high, NSF/ANSI Standard 7 requirements, zero-wood construction, specified insulation values, safety doors and hardware, LED lighting, temperature alarms, remote condensing units, low-GWP refrigerant, and a 24-hour operational test. Bidders must submit technical cut sheets and drawings, a project schedule and lead time, warranty documentation, at least three similar turnkey project references completed within the past five years, portal questionnaire responses, and firm-fixed pricing. Required warranties include 10 years for panels, five years for compressors, and two years for the full turnkey system.
