Description
Polk County seeks a contractor to furnish labor, materials, permitting, and supervision for construction of an ADA-compliant U-shaped floating dock and gangway. The design calls for an approximately 20-by-45-foot dock and a 45-foot-long, minimum 5-foot-wide gangway, with aluminum structure, composite decking, flotation, site-specific anchorage, and accessible railings. The work also includes engineering and design coordination, permits and inspections, site protection and cleanup, and compliance with applicable accessibility, building, welding, and environmental requirements. Respondents must hold a qualifying Florida contractor license and provide an Engineer of Record with at least 10 years of relevant experience. The submission must include evidence of the required qualifications, three recent relevant project references, a project site manager resume, and the completed quote materials. The estimated project cost is $165,000; completion is required within 120 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. A public construction bond is not required. The successful contractor must maintain specified workers’ compensation, general liability, and automobile liability insurance; the County must be named as an additional insured for applicable liability coverage.
