Description
Hillsborough County seeks qualified contractors to perform as-needed, work-order construction and installation of water mains, reclaimed water mains, and wastewater force mains, along with related modifications and installations at water, reclaimed water, and wastewater facilities and pumping stations. Work may include utility locating, pipeline installation and replacement, jack-and-bore steel casing, excavation, shoring, sheeting, and well-point dewatering. Contractors must provide the labor, materials, equipment, permits, traffic control, testing, and restoration needed for each authorized work order. The solicitation estimates the opportunity at $12,075,000, but actual work is not guaranteed and may be substantially lower; the contract documents state a minimum guaranteed usage of $10,000. The contract has a 6% SBE subcontracting participation goal. The solicitation requires a bid security equal to at least 5% of the bid amount. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the awarded contract amount, and required insurance. The contract term is two years, with two optional two-year renewals.
