Description
The City of Urbandale is seeking proposals from qualified safety consulting or technical training firms to provide onsite, OSHA-compliant safety training for approximately 12 parks staff employees. The scope covers non-logging chainsaw and chipper safety, including classroom instruction on personal protective equipment, chainsaw features, operation and handling, maintenance and fueling, and hazard mitigation, followed by hands-on practical tree-felling training. Proposals must include a program syllabus with the course curriculum and estimated duration per session, all-inclusive pricing broken down by flat daily rates, per-student fees, and applicable travel expenses, and available training dates in April or May 2027. Training will occur onsite in Urbandale, Iowa.
