Description
The City of Independence is soliciting bids for the complete demolition of Adventure Oasis Water Park at 2100 Hub Drive. The work includes demolishing and removing the pump house/concession building, lifeguard building, lap pool, water slide pool, zero-depth entry pool, lazy river, fencing, equipment, and contents. The paved parking lot is excluded from demolition. The contractor must properly remove and dispose of hazardous materials, including air-conditioning units, refrigerant, chlorine tanks, chlorine, and other chemicals; comply with Missouri Department of Natural Resources requirements; report the demolition to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources; perform utility kills; obtain permits; schedule inspections; secure the site; control dust and erosion; fracture pool walls and floors without using concrete or rebar as fill; fill and compact the areas with clean inorganic fill; grade the property; and seed it as green space. The proposal must state the anticipated start date after issuance of the Notice to Proceed and the time required to complete the project. A separate pricing form is required.
