Description
This public-works construction project involves a partial interior remodel and site renovations at the Washington State Department of Ecology Capitol Campus. The base work includes reconfiguring the main lobby and check-in area, adding three enclosed offices, associated architectural finishes, electrical, mechanical, fire-suppression, telecommunications, security, and lighting modifications, and constructing a new concrete sidewalk and pedestrian pathway. The contractor must coordinate work in an occupied building, maintain public and emergency access, provide temporary protection and controls, remove and dispose of construction debris, and comply with Washington prevailing-wage and applicable code requirements. The project also includes modifications to the existing monument sign, including removal of existing lettering, surface preparation and repainting, updated illuminated tenant signage, and related electrical work. Additive alternates cover full or partial expansion of the east atrium by removing selected rock and boulders, installing concrete infill and perimeter curbs, and adding carpet. The estimated bid range is $370,000 to $585,000. Submissions require the online bid table, Wage Theft Prevention Form, Bidder Compliance Form, and bid guarantee; a bid bond or acceptable cashier's/certified check is required at 5% of the base bid when applicable.
