Description
This solicitation is for services to perform a boat handling equipment inspection onboard the USCGC Hudson, located at USCG Base Miami Beach, Florida. The inspection will cover various components including hull fittings, weight handling rigging hardware, crossdeck winches, capstans, spud winches, and boat davits. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to complete the inspection and any required servicing or testing as detailed in the Statement of Work. Key tasks include visual inspections, non-destructive testing (NDE), measurements, pull-tests, operating and inspecting winches and capstans, disassembling and preserving components, grooming and lubricating equipment, and performing final operational and weight tests. The contractor must also fabricate and install label plates as needed. All work must be performed in accordance with specified Coast Guard Standard Specifications and Technical Publications. Proposals are due by 3:00 PM EST on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. A site visit is strongly recommended and scheduled for Wednesday, July 8th, at 10:00 AM. Contractors must be registered in SAM.gov and comply with all base regulations.
