Description
Pierce County is soliciting bids for the dry-docking, repairs, and improvements of the M/V Steilacoom II ferry. The work includes various maintenance and repair tasks on the vessel's hull, superstructure, engine systems, steering systems, and propulsion systems. Specific tasks include hull cleaning and painting, engine gauge relocation, sewage system maintenance, fuel oil tank cleaning and inspection, rudder and tail shaft inspections and repairs, marine gear overhauls, and steering system refurbishment. The project is expected to require approximately 40 working days, with a minimum of 30 working days allocated for dry-docking. The contract requires adherence to U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) regulations and Pierce County specifications. Bidders must submit a proposal bond and evidence of insurance.
