Description
This is a Sources Sought notice for a Regular Overhaul of the USNS ARCTIC (T-AOE 8). The overhaul is expected to commence on or about February 8, 2027, and conclude by July 3, 2027. The work will be performed at the contractor's facility, with an area of consideration for the East/Gulf Coast. The target date for solicitation issuance is July 14, 2026. The USNS ARCTIC (T-AOE 8) has the following characteristics: Length Overall: 230m, Length between Perpendiculars: 222.51m, Breadth Molded (Max.): 32.61m, Depth Molded at side (to 01 level amidships): 20.32m, Displacement Full Load: 49,000 Long Tons, Draft Full Load: 19m, Displacement Light Ship: 19,700 Long Tons. Arrival Draft (ABL) Fwd Mast Top: 24 feet-5 inches, Arrival Draft (ABL) Aft Mast Top: 26 feet-3 inches. Interested firms are requested to submit a capabilities package demonstrating their ability to perform the work and experience in similar projects. The package should include: (1) Company Profile (number of employees, office location(s), UEI number, CAGE Code, small business designation status), (2) Description and location of the facility where the work will be performed, (3) Indication of company size and socioeconomic category (HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.) as this procurement falls under NAICS Code 336611 (Ship Building and Repair) with a size standard of 1,300 employees, and (4) Information on partnership, teaming, joint ventures, or mentor-protege agreements. Responses are due by 11:00 AM EDT on July 3, 2026.
