Description
The State of California Department of General Services is soliciting sealed bids for electrical upgrades at the Department of State Hospitals–Atascadero. The project includes labor, materials, and services for site improvements, construction of a masonry structure, installation of new switchgear, and installation of a backup generator. Bidders must hold an A or C-10 contractor license. The estimated project cost is $20,786,900, and the stated project term is 548 calendar days. The successful bidder must furnish payment and performance bonds, each equal to 100 percent of the contract price. Construction personnel will be subject to state and federal criminal-history background checks and onsite security-clearance requirements. A mandatory prebid site inspection is required for bid eligibility, and the solicitation includes Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation requirements.
