Description
The California Department of Transportation seeks a contractor to provide demolition and clearance services at sites in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. Work includes demolishing and removing structures and related improvements; abating and disposing of asbestos, lead, and other hazardous materials; handling debris; and providing traffic control, backfill, grading, and required stormwater pollution prevention and monitoring. The scope also includes associated permits, plans, reports, inspections, and environmental compliance. Bidders must hold specified California contractor licenses and hazardous-material certifications, or identify qualified subcontractors where permitted. The bid package requires a completed pricing proposal and bidder certifications, applicable subcontractor and small-business/DVBE documentation, and copies of specified permits, registrations, and certificates. A bid bond or approved substitute security is required only for bids of $484,000 or more. The agreement is estimated to run from November 27, 2026, through November 26, 2029, subject to approval.
