Description
The City of South San Francisco is soliciting bids for complete hazardous materials abatement at the existing building at 71 Camaritas Avenue. The work includes removal and disposal of approximately 1,000 square feet of asbestos-containing black mastic, 800 square feet of asbestos-containing wallboard joint compound, and 400 square feet of asbestos-containing wall texture, along with lead-related demolition involving identified lead-containing paint and a lead-containing ceramic countertop. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, containment, decontamination facilities, cleanup, waste handling, transportation, and disposal. The work includes compliance plans, worker training and medical documentation, respiratory protection, hazardous waste management, air monitoring and clearance activities, and required disposal records. The project has a 45-calendar-day performance period after issuance of the Notice to Proceed, with substantial completion required within that period and final completion seven calendar days later.
