Description
The City seeks lump-sum asbestos abatement and disposal at three structures. Work includes removing identified asbestos-containing materials such as duct wrap, linoleum and mastic, transite panels, cementitious siding, floor tile, and sink coating. The contractor must field-verify locations and quantities, coordinate with the owner and demolition contractor, and provide the labor, materials, equipment, temporary utilities, containment, cleanup, and regulated waste handling needed to complete the work. Demolition of the structures is excluded and will be performed by others. The contractor must comply with applicable asbestos regulations, use appropriately licensed and certified personnel, arrange for approved waste transport and disposal, and provide project documentation and clearance air monitoring. Prevailing wage applies. A bid guarantee of 5% is required; the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds and insurance.
