Description
The City of Coalinga is soliciting sealed bids for a federally aided public works project involving energy-efficiency upgrades within the city. The work includes replacing 60 traffic signal modules, four roadway streetlight luminaires, eight countdown pedestrian signal luminaires, eight ADA pedestrian push-button stations, and one pedestrian push-button control unit at the Polk Street and Forest Street intersection. The project also includes furnishing and installing 49 Fonroche solar lights, foundations, and associated equipment along specified bicycle and pedestrian trail segments. The scope includes mobilization, worker safety, traffic control, dust and erosion control, excavation, reinforced-concrete foundations, equipment installation, testing, and commissioning. The engineer’s estimate is $506,855. The base bid must be completed within 30 working days from the Notice to Proceed, with a 10% bid bond, 100% performance bond, and 100% labor and materials bond required. The prime contractor must perform at least 30% of the work with its own organization, and the solicitation requires numerous completed bid forms, federal certifications, a bid proposal, subcontractor and reference information, and addenda acknowledgments.
