Description
Texas A&M University is seeking architectural firms to provide professional services for the evaluation, planning, and conceptual design of renovations to the existing Small Animal Teaching Hospital. The goal is to identify renovation and reconfiguration opportunities that modernize clinical functions, enhance instructional capabilities, and support long-term program objectives within the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences. The selected firm must demonstrate experience in higher education, healthcare, or veterinary environments and will be responsible for assessing existing conditions, programming and stakeholder engagement, developing conceptual designs, evaluating feasibility and costs, and providing final recommendations. The scope of work includes conducting on-site evaluations, documenting current space utilization, facilitating meetings with stakeholders, developing space programs, creating conceptual floor plans and diagrams, and assessing compatibility with existing systems. The firm will also provide high-level cost implications and outline necessary system upgrades. Deliverables include an Existing Conditions Summary, Space Needs Program, Conceptual Design Packages, Cost and Feasibility Assessment, Final Recommendations Report, and Stakeholder Presentation Materials. The project is expected to be completed by August 1, 2027.
