Description
The City of Abilene is soliciting sealed bids for improvements to sanitary sewer infrastructure at Lakes at Saddle Creek. The work includes replacing and connecting approximately 100 linear feet of existing 18-inch sewer line, installing approximately 96 linear feet of 24-inch steel casing and 18-inch SDR-35 PVC sewer line, constructing two fiberglass manholes and concrete supports, installing approximately 300 cubic yards of riprap, and completing associated demolition, disposal, erosion protection, surface restoration, and incidental work. The contractor must maintain sewer service through bypass pumping of at least 260 gallons per minute, provide the required equipment and bypass pumping plan, protect the creek and surrounding property, comply with applicable environmental and construction requirements, and restore disturbed areas. The base bid includes a $50,000 allowance for authorized project-related additional work, and additive alternates are provided for stainless-steel straps, hardware, and casing. The project is to be completed within 60 working days for the base bid.
