Description
The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, Capital District DDSO, is soliciting a quote to remove and replace approximately 3,300 square feet of attic insulation at an occupied residential facility. The work includes removing and disposing of existing insulation, attic floorboards, and knee-wall insulation; installing roof-rafter baffles; verifying ridge, soffit, and gable ventilation; checking the gable vent fan; and installing R-30, R-19, R-13 kraft-faced fiberglass, and R-10 rigid insulation in the specified locations. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, disposal, and site cleanup, secure tools and materials at the end of each workday, and complete the work within 30 days of receiving the purchase order. This is a New York public works project requiring prevailing wages and NYS Department of Labor contractor registration before bidding. A mandatory site visit is required, and the quote must use the Official Bid Form and include an itemized materials and labor breakdown. The quoted amount must remain valid for 60 days after the bid deadline. Subcontractors require written OPWDD approval, and the awarded contractor will later need to provide specified insurance certificates and a lobbying-law form.
