Description
The City of Danville is soliciting proposals for roof replacement at 2 West Main Street. The work includes barricading and protecting the work area, removing and disposing of the existing PVC roof system, installing 1.5-inch polyisocyanurate insulation, and installing a mechanically fastened white 50-mil Duro-Last or approved-equal PVC membrane roofing system. The scope also includes custom flashing for parapets, stacks, vents, curbs, and other penetrations; roof drains, vents, edge details, walkway pads, downspouts, fall protection, daily debris removal, shop drawings, material certifications, samples, installer certification, and manufacturer warranties. The contractor must provide a two-year workmanship warranty and a 20-year no-dollar-limit manufacturer warranty. Proposals are priced by square foot and may be awarded by roof area and year. The solicitation requires prevailing-wage compliance, a five-percent bid bond or cashier's check, insurance, a vendor sworn statement, affirmative-action and workforce-profile documentation, and a sexual-harassment policy or related documentation.
