Description
Colorado School of Mines is soliciting proposals for custom nickel-silver metal diplomas produced to fixed specifications. The vendor must fabricate flat 5-by-6-inch, 0.032-inch nickel-silver plates with a light brushed satin finish, sanded and burred edges, a clear protective coating, all-black screen-printed wording and graphics, and two 1-inch 3M VHB adhesive strips on the back. Alternative designs and materials will not be accepted, and electronic proofs must be provided for approval before production. The scope includes maintaining sufficient material inventory, tracking usage, providing semiannual inventory reports, producing and quality-checking diplomas, individually protective-packaging and alphabetizing them, and shipping them directly to the requesting departments. The vendor must support commencement and small orders throughout the year, replace damaged, defective, or incorrectly printed diplomas at no additional cost, and provide detailed responses regarding manufacturing methods, materials, quality control, logistics, customer service, and relevant institutional experience. Proposals must include pricing, required company and reference information, a signed acceptance or redlined agreement, a completed signature page, a signed W-9 or W-8BEN, and a qualifying sample diploma.
