Description
Manchester Water Works is soliciting bids from qualified timber harvesting contractors to cut, tally, and transport marked trees from approximately 47 acres of its property. The estimated volume is approximately 326,030 board feet and 1,041 tons, but quantities are not guaranteed; bidders must enter unit prices for each listed forest product. The contractor is responsible for harvesting operations, trucking, site access and landing work, snow removal, required permits, timber tax, and site restoration. Work must follow the specified forestry and environmental practices, and harvesting and trucking must be completed by March 15, 2027, with restoration completed by June 15, 2027. The contractor must provide a $5,000 security deposit as a performance bond at contract signing and maintain specified insurance. The award will be made to a single contractor based on revenue, qualifications, experience, and approach.
