Description
The National Forest Foundation is soliciting proposals for the Oil Mountain Stewardship Project, covering approximately 801 acres on U.S. Forest Service-administered lands. The work includes clearcut aspen harvest and removal on approximately 257 acres, overstory and aspen removal on approximately 14 acres, conifer reduction and aspen removal on approximately 30 acres, and maintenance of approximately 19 miles of National Forest System roads, including slide and slump repair, ditch or culvert cleaning, surface blading or repair, and drainage-feature reshaping. Timber products include approximately 4,176 CCF of aspen, 247 CCF of Engelmann spruce, and 46 CCF of true fir. Proposals must include a technical proposal describing the bidder's services, materials, labor, equipment, supervision, project-management approach, work plan and schedule, risk-management approach, and key personnel. Bidders must also provide pricing, a proposed payment schedule, current insurance information, and applicable qualifications, experience, references, federal-exclusion affirmation, failed-project and legal-action disclosures. Work is subject to prevailing-wage requirements and may require payment and performance security depending on contract value, subcontracting, material costs, funding, or applicable law. The anticipated project start date is July 15, 2027, with completion by December 31, 2028, subject to stated conditions and negotiation.
