Description
The Province of British Columbia, through BC Timber Sales’ Kootenay Business Area, is offering Timber Sale Licence TA3229 for approximately 2,025 cubic metres of decked timber. The estimated volume includes balsam, western red cedar, Douglas fir, spruce, aspen, hemlock, and lodgepole pine; the stated licence term is eight months. The upset stumpage rate is $15.75 per cubic metre for applicable coniferous sawlog grades, and applicants submit a competitive bonus bid. Applicants are advised to verify the volume and grade estimates through a field review. Applicants must be registered BC timber sales enterprises in the eligible categories. The successful applicant must comply with the BC Timber Sales Environmental Management System and applicable safety certification requirements. Applications include the completed Application and Tender for Timber Sale Licence form and a bonus bid, submitted through BC Bid or as a hard-copy tender. A bid deposit is required only if directed by the timber sales manager.
