Description
This invitation to bid covers construction of Phase 1 improvements in the Highland Village area. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, permits, and incidentals to install inline backflow prevention devices upstream of existing outfalls, construct and connect proposed drainage structures and HDPE storm sewer, install connector pipe screens and check valves, and grout-fill and abandon designated existing storm sewer segments. The work also includes excavation, trenching, dewatering, stormwater pollution prevention, maintenance of traffic, relocation of existing 2-inch water services and an 8-inch water main, utility coordination, permits, pre-construction video, signed and sealed as-built drawings, pavement and pavement-marking restoration, concrete sidewalk and driveway restoration, sod and gravel restoration, signage, and related site cleanup. The solicitation requires a five-percent bid security and, after award, 100-percent performance/warranty and labor-and-material payment bonds. A minimum 15-percent subcontracting allocation to certified small, minority-owned, women-owned, or other locally recognized small businesses is required, with certification documentation and a subcontracting plan submitted with the bid.
