Description
The City of Miami Beach is establishing a five-year prequalified contractor pool for routine and emergency repairs to its water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater systems. Work will be performed on short notice and may include pump stations, potable water pipes, sanitary sewer mains and laterals, valves, stormwater drainage pipes, trenchless point repairs, and rehabilitation of sanitary sewer and stormwater manholes. Contractors must provide supervision, labor, equipment, materials, rentals, and supplies and be available for emergency response, including 24-hour telephone availability and rapid mobilization. Applicants must complete the Prequalification Application, provide qualifying Florida or Miami-Dade County licensing or authorization, submit at least three similar projects completed within the last five years with client contacts, and demonstrate bonding capacity of at least $1,000,000 from an A-rated Financial Class V surety company. Prequalified status lasts five years from notice of award, but selection does not guarantee work; project-specific assignments will be issued through subsequent quotations or service orders. Performance and payment bonds are required for projects of $200,000 or more, and extensive insurance coverage is required before award and throughout performance.
