Description

Miami-Dade County is soliciting a contractor to provide comprehensive streetlight maintenance services for a designated zone. The work covers approximately 4,591 streetlights and includes patrol inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, replacement of streetlight components, emergency response to outages and knockdowns, correction of inspection and maintenance-rating deficiencies, and removal of unpermitted or expired signs, banners, and electronic devices encountered within the work limits. The contractor must furnish supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, and traffic-control measures, and must maintain at least 95% system uptime. The contractor must provide qualified electrical personnel, including a master electrician and journeyman electricians with IMSA Roadway Lighting Level I certification, maintain required maintenance and repair crews, and demonstrate relevant public-right-of-way experience through at least three similar projects completed or underway within the past five years. The contract includes a 1,095-calendar-day performance period, Davis-Bacon requirements, federally funded project compliance, a five-percent bid bond, and payment and performance bonds equal to the total contract price. Required insurance includes workers' compensation, commercial general liability, automobile liability, and umbrella liability coverage.
