Miami-Dade County is soliciting a contractor to provide comprehensive maintenance of approximately 4,490 roadway streetlights in the South Zone. The scope includes monthly nighttime patrols, system monitoring, diagnostic services, preventive maintenance, emergency outage and knockdown response, repairs and replacement of luminaires, lamps, LED drivers, ballasts, fuses, wiring, pull boxes, conduits, grounding components, poles, foundations, and electrical power service assemblies. The contractor must also remove unpermitted or expired signs, banners, and related devices encountered within the work limits and maintain at least 95% system uptime. The contract includes routine service and maintenance plus authorized major repairs, including pole relocation or installation, underground electrical repairs, wire-theft conductor replacement, pull-and-splice box installation, electrical service assembly work, foundation replacement, conduit installation, and pole cable distribution system replacement. Work requires a licensed electrical contractor, qualified journeyman electricians with IMSA Roadway Lighting Level I certification, electrician helpers, certified maintenance-of-traffic supervision for lane closures, required permits, traffic control, reporting, work-order documentation, photographs with location metadata, and compliance with applicable electrical, roadway, safety, and federal-aid requirements.
