Description
The City of Miami is soliciting bids for on-call installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications infrastructure at City facilities. The scope includes voice, data, cable television and video wiring; wireless radio and antenna installations; twisted-pair, coaxial, and fiber-optic cabling; associated communications hardware, racks, cabinets, patch panels, conduit, raceways, cable management, antenna cables, and related parts. Work may include new installations, rewiring, interconnection of facilities, core drilling, trenching, testing, labeling, documentation, cleanup, and site restoration. The contract requires qualified electrical contractors, three relevant references from the past three years, an electrical contractor's license, Level II background screening for personnel working on City property, insurance, emergency response capability, and in-house personnel for wiring installation except with prior approval. Bidders must price all line items, including regular and after-hours labor, materials, and equipment markup. The initial term is three years with one optional three-year renewal period.
