Description
The City of Miami Beach is seeking certified elevator contractors for a prequalification pool supporting as-needed replacement and modernization of elevator cabs in City-owned facilities. Potential work may include removal and disposal of outdated components; installation or upgrading of traction machines, controllers, door operators, and safety systems; electrical, mechanical, and structural modifications; building-system integration; and testing, inspection, certification, and compliance with current building codes and ADA requirements. Contractors must provide all required personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, labor, transportation, and incidentals. Prequalified contractors will be invited to submit project-specific quotes through Invitations to Quote, but inclusion in the pool does not guarantee work. The resulting agreement has a five-year term, and projects awarded through this solicitation are limited to estimated costs of $200,000 or less. Applicants must submit the completed Prequalification Application, hold the required elevator license or certification, and provide at least three qualifying Florida project references completed within the last three years.
