Description
Alabama Community College Systems is soliciting sealed proposals from general contractors previously approved through a mandatory prequalification process for renovation work at the SciQuest Building at Calhoun Community College. Bidders must be properly licensed under Alabama requirements, and the project will be bid excluding taxes. A bid bond or cashier’s check payable to Alabama Community College Systems is required in an amount of at least 5% of the bid, capped at $10,000. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds, along with required insurance, will be due at contract signing. The contractor must submit ACCS Form 5-A, Accounting of Sales Tax, with the ACCS Form 5-E Proposal Form. Bid documents will be distributed electronically by the architect only to prequalified general contractors. Attendance at the September 22, 2026, pre-bid conference is mandatory for general contractors intending to submit a proposal.
