J.F. Drake State Community and Technical College is soliciting bids for delivered welding gases and cylinder rental. Required products include compressed oxygen, acetylene, propane, ultra-high-purity helium, carbon dioxide, argon, argon/carbon dioxide mixtures in specified ratios, nitrogen, and a tri-mix of argon, helium, and carbon dioxide. The estimated cylinder rental quantity is 285 bottles per year. Bidders must provide unit and extended pricing on the supplied bid forms and identify the make and model quoted; substitutions require the college's Substitution Request Form and manufacturer specifications. The contract is for one year beginning on the award date, with an option to continue month-to-month under the same pricing, terms, and conditions. Deliveries are to the college, and prices must include delivery. The solicitation requires the provided bid forms, an original longhand signature, and an original ink proposal; bids must be sealed and submitted by the stated deadline. A completed Alabama sales-tax compliance certification is also required as part of the bid submission.
