Description
Harris County, on behalf of Harris Health, is soliciting proposals for commercial fryer oil filtering and fryer cleaning services at Fournace Place, Quentin Mease Hospital, Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, and Ben Taub Hospital. The scope includes all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, transportation, cleaning supplies, materials, and technical expertise required to clean and filter commercial fryers, handle and dispose of used cooking oil and waste, and provide related service documentation. Estimated service frequencies range from weekly to three times per week, and quantities may be adjusted during the contract term. Proposals must describe the vendor’s qualifications, relevant experience, references, technician training and certifications, service methods, safety procedures, staffing and scheduling approach, quality-control practices, and reporting process. Vendors must submit location- and frequency-based pricing, a Tax Residence Certification, qualification and solution questionnaire responses, an MWBE Utilization Plan, and any applicable cooperative agreement. The anticipated term is 12 months with up to four one-year renewal options. A 10% minority/woman-owned business enterprise participation goal applies, with good-faith-effort documentation required if the goal is not met. Insurance coverage is required during performance, but the certificate of insurance is due before services commence rather than with the proposal.
