Description
The City of Oxnard is soliciting a contractor to perform refrigerant recovery and extraction from appliances collected at the Del Norte Regional Recycling and Transfer Station, load and properly dispose of the recovered refrigerant in accordance with applicable EPA requirements, and provide routine and on-call maintenance and repair services for ice machines and dispensers at the facility. The scope includes cleaning and sanitizing equipment, filter replacement, inspections, refrigerant adjustments, repairs, replacement equipment or parts as needed, service reports, and emergency response support. The contractor must provide qualified personnel, equipment, materials, and supervision; hold the required California C-38 Refrigeration Contractor or C-20 Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating, and Air-Conditioning Contractor license as applicable; use EPA-certified refrigerant recovery equipment; and ensure technicians are properly certified. The anticipated base term is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2029, with up to two additional one-year options. Bids will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on pricing submitted through the required bid forms and pricing schedule.
