Description
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is soliciting competitive pricing for mechanical muck management at designated areas of Lake Miccosukee. The contractor will use heavy equipment to disturb the lake bottom, expose fresh moist muck, and expedite deterioration; repeated treatments may be required. The work includes labor, equipment, mobilization, skilled operators, GPS tracking, acreage calculations, weekly reporting, and supporting documentation across six work sites totaling up to 1,168.60 acres, although actual quantities may vary. Bidders must be registered in MyFloridaMarketPlace and SunBiz before the bid opening. Addendum 1 corrected the proposed project budget from $3,255,000 to $355,000; funding is provided through the Commission’s Aquatic Habitat Restoration/Enhancement Subsection, and the budget may increase or decrease based on environmental conditions and program budgets. The contract provides for a one-year initial term with an option for one additional one-year renewal. Bids must include the required acknowledgment, pricing, references, mandatory-responsiveness, and subcontractor forms, with at least three verifiable similar-project references.
