Description
The Capital Region Transportation Planning Agency is seeking a qualified consultant to conduct a corridor safety study of West Tennessee Street/US 90 from Aenon Church Road to Monroe Street, approximately six miles. The study will assess existing conditions, engage stakeholders and the public, and develop design and programmatic recommendations intended to reduce fatalities and serious injuries, with particular attention to vulnerable road users. The scope includes project management, public involvement, review of prior and ongoing efforts, crash and intersection analysis, updated motorized and non-motorized counts, pedestrian and cyclist counting, engineering and operational review, identification of safety hotspots, transit review, and evaluation of potential lane reductions. The consultant will develop short-, medium-, and long-term countermeasures, planning-level cost estimates, and an implementation plan, including a project webpage and public meeting materials. The contract term is two years with no renewal periods.
