Description
Williamson County is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from qualified contractors for improvements along the Brushy Creek Regional Trail. The project will rehabilitate approximately 60 linear feet of an existing 170-foot retaining wall through compaction grouting, localized grading, erosion protection, and related site restoration. Work also includes approximately 265 square yards of stone riprap, wetland-edge revegetation and plantings, replacement of approximately 145 linear feet of metal wire fence, temporary erosion and sedimentation controls, and coordination of access, staging, environmental protection, and trail operations in a constrained area near a dam spillway and wetland. The construction budget is $200,000, and substantial completion is required 90 days after the Notice to Proceed. The solicitation evaluates similar project experience, government-agency performance history, site superintendent and project manager qualifications, and pricing. Respondents must attend both the mandatory pre-solicitation conference and mandatory site walk to remain eligible to submit a proposal. Payment and performance bonds are required at 100% of the contract amount when applicable under the stated statutory thresholds, and the project carries specified workers’ compensation, liability, automobile, builder’s risk, and umbrella insurance requirements.
