Description
The City of Rapid City is soliciting a construction contractor to improve Ponds 101 and 104 and related drainage elements in the Perrine Drainage Basin. The work includes stormwater diversion from an irrigation ditch to the existing storm sewer near South Dakota Highway 44; pond grading and outlet structures; excavation, imported borrow, topsoil, riprap, drainage fabric, cellular grout, reinforced concrete pipe, inlets, junction boxes, and storm sewer video inspection. The project also includes removal and replacement of asphalt pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalks, and stormwater structures; roadway surfacing; traffic control and detours on Lancer, Concourse, and Copperfield Drives; temporary pedestrian access; and extensive erosion and sediment controls, including silt fence, wattles, erosion-control blankets, bonded fiber matrix, seeding, fertilizing, and sod. Contractors must obtain applicable permits, coordinate work near the Magellan high-pressure pipeline, submit required construction and technical submittals, and comply with the City of Rapid City Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, 2022 Edition. All work must be completed by June 18, 2027, with work on Concourse Drive and Lancer Drive and work on Copperfield Drive each limited to 30 calendar days as specified.
