Description
The State of Wyoming, Office of State Lands and Investments, Forestry Division, is soliciting proposals for hazardous fuels reduction on approximately 179 acres of Keyhole State Park and adjacent Bureau of Reclamation lands in three treatment units. The work involves mechanical thinning and mastication in Units 1 and 2, including treatment of ponderosa pine and Rocky Mountain juniper, and hand thinning and hand piling in Unit 3 if funding remains available. Bids are submitted on a per-acre basis, with mechanical-thin and hand-thin pricing requested. The contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials; thin trees according to specified prescriptions; masticate or pile slash; protect retained trees, roads, waterways, wetlands, and cultural and protected biological resources; comply with applicable forestry best management practices; and follow detailed fire-prevention and operating restrictions. The proposal must include separate technical and cost proposals addressing the required work plan, project management, staffing, experience, subcontractors, schedule, and approach. The resulting contract expires December 31, 2028, and the agency may adjust acreage based on available funding.
