Description
The USDA Forest Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price quotation to drill and develop one new domestic potable-water well and construct an underground water distribution line from the well to an existing utility vault. The work includes approximately 170 linear feet of well drilling, 40 linear feet of steel casing, well development, pump testing, installation of a submersible pump and controls, well sealing, approximately 280 linear feet of 1-inch HDPE water line, electrical connections, disinfection, and water-quality testing. The completed well must support a minimum tested capacity of 6 gallons per minute. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, utilities, permits, safety measures, temporary facilities, testing, and restoration. Drilling and pump installation must be performed by an active South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources-licensed well driller, and electrical work must be performed by licensed electricians. Quotations must include a 2-to-4-page technical approach, a construction schedule, the completed pricing schedule, a valid statewide South Dakota well-driller license, and the required offer guarantee. The project has a stated performance period from October 29, 2026, through July 1, 2027, with on-site work limited to 60 days.
