Description
This Sources Sought is market research for a potential firm-fixed-price construction contract to repair the existing S-69 weir. Anticipated work includes partial demolition and replacement of concrete cap sections at expansion joints; cleaning and preparing existing steel and concrete; installing epoxy-coated closed stirrups and welded anchor studs; replacing expansion joints; and placing structural concrete. The work also includes coring and investigating potential voids beneath the north driving slab, grouting core holes, filling gaps beneath the slab with controlled low-strength material or approved flowable fill, and repairing slab expansion joints. The contractor would provide construction quality-control submittals, including a void investigation report, concrete mix design, product data, and as-built documentation. The stated rough order of magnitude is $500,000–$1,000,000, with an anticipated 90-calendar-day performance period after notice to proceed. The notice requests capability information, including at least three comparable projects completed within the past 10 years and a bonding-capacity letter; it is not a bid solicitation and will not result in an award.
