Buffalo Urban Development Corporation is soliciting proposals from prime contractors to provide general construction services for demolition work at 741 and 777 Northland Avenue. The scope includes asbestos abatement and regulated-material removal; demolition of structures, pavements, slabs, and building foundations; removal of basement walls to a depth of five feet; fracturing basement slabs; waste disposal and recycling; clean backfill of subgrade basements and vaults; preservation and construction of a foundation section; facility-sign restoration; and site restoration to finished conditions. The solicitation identifies 30% MBE and 30% WBE contracting goals. The RFP package is available through the linked Dropbox file or the Buffalo Urban Development Corporation website. No identical or substantially similar procurement contract was awarded within the past five years.
