Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a contractor to separate the Laboratory and Sterile Processing Service deionization loop, connect the SPS loop to the existing reverse-osmosis loop, modify associated piping, isolate and reconnect sink branches, and sanitize the RO/DI critical water systems. The work also includes installing a Culligan CUVR5-555 or equivalent ultraviolet sterilizer, a seven-filter cartridge housing with 20-inch endotoxin filters, 12 AAMI ST108-compliant RO testing ports, four steam sterilizer sampling ports with condensate conversion components, a replacement low-pressure switch, six 4-by-40-inch RO membranes, and a 20-inch five-micron RO prefilter. The contractor must provide labor, tools, equipment, materials, submittals, daily performance logs, and coordination of shutdowns and work scheduling with the Contracting Officer's Representative. The technical proposal must address the contractor's approach and ability to perform the work, proposed UV sterilizer and filter brands/models and specifications, manufacturer training certificates, water-treatment certifications or equivalent training, plumbing or mechanical-piping certifications, relevant medical-grade RO/DI and steam-sampling experience, management approach, and up to three references for similar work performed or ongoing within the past three years. The procurement is for one firm-fixed-price award with a performance period from November 1, 2026, through January 31, 2027.
