Description
Hennepin County is soliciting a low-bid contractor to mill and overlay County Roads 116 and 159, including bituminous paving, pavement markings, signing, traffic control, pavement patching, aggregate surfacing, utility structure adjustments, erosion and stormwater controls, and related roadway construction. The work covers segments in Corcoran, Medina, and Rogers and must comply with the plans, Minnesota Department of Transportation specifications, and the project special provisions. The contractor must maintain traffic and pedestrian access, coordinate with affected cities and utilities, meet prevailing-wage requirements, make good-faith efforts toward Hennepin County's 13% SMBE and 13% SWBE participation goals and 1,423 WEP apprentice labor hours, and provide required performance and payment bonds. Work must begin by May 31, 2027, or within eight calendar days after the notice of contract award, whichever is later; substantial roadway work must be completed within 28 calendar days, and all work must be completed by October 29, 2027.
