Description
Burke County is accepting online Letters of Interest from established nonprofit, faith-based, and for-profit organizations for one-time opioid settlement funding. Proposed projects must launch, expand, or strengthen eligible Option A services addressing opioid-related needs and must be provided within Burke County for county residents. Eligible focus areas include recovery housing, faith community support, and family and caregiver supports, although other eligible Option A strategies may be proposed. The total funding available is $550,000. Organizations may request up to $50,000 without additional justification and up to $75,000 with justification; no minimum request or matching funds are required. The initial LOI requires organization, project, eligibility, partner, service-location, anticipated-results, continuation or closeout, and preliminary budget information entered directly into the online form. This is a two-stage process: applicants advanced after the LOI stage may be invited to submit a more detailed application, budget worksheet, supporting documentation, and references.
