Description
The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA), also known as Metro, is soliciting proposals for the installation of 51 new bus stop shelters across its service area, which includes Hamilton County and portions of Warren, Butler, and Clermont counties. The project involves procuring, storing, permitting, and installing shelters and associated concrete pads, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal ADA requirements. The scope of work includes providing professional services such as project management, procurement and storage of shelters, engineering, design, permitting, construction of concrete pads (including Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 configurations), and the installation of shelters. The shelters will be Tolar 10' AD Custom Dome Shelters and 16' Sunset Shelters. Contractors will be responsible for site-specific assessments, ensuring ADA compliance for boarding areas and accessible connection paths, and coordinating with local jurisdictions for permits and right-of-way access. The contract term is two years, with a minimum of 26 shelters to be installed in the first year and 25 in the second.
